Colorado noxious weeds. Different types of lists.
Colorado Noxious Weeds
Colorado noxious weeds are plants that displace desirable vegetation. They threaten our drinking water supply, agricultural crops, pasture land and native habitat. These weeds could be brought as seeds in ornamental planting mixes, in nursery stock or on the undercarriage of vehicles. They do not have natural enemies like insects and diseases, and able to adapt to Colorado climate. Some of them have root systems 15-30 feet long and produce thousands of seeds per year. All these factors make it very difficult to eradicate Colorado noxious weeds.
